Book Title: The Silent Patient

Author: Alex Michaelides

Genre: Thriller / Psychological Thriller

My Rating : ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ ⭐

Finished this book in one go. Such a great thriller with an unexpected twist. Right from the beginning it draws us into the plot and hooked us up until the end. Greek mythology included is a great way to incorporate the idea on readers. And as the synopsis told, its a perfect Agatha christie plot, but likewise lacking in emotions. We can chase page after page for answers but couldn’t feel the emotions of the characters anywhere. Like all thriller books, I keep on guessing on the story but nothing predictable and the final twist is something unexpected. A great thriller without much disgusting psychotic episodes. I couldn’t believe it’s a debut novel from the author. Highly recommend it if you are into thrillers.

Favorite Quotes From the Book :

“Unexpressed emotions will never die. They are buried alive, and will come forth later, in uglier ways.”

“Real love is very quiet, very still. It’s boring if seen from the perspective of high drama. Love is deep and calm—and constant”

love that doesn’t include honesty doesn’t deserve to be called love.”
