Book Title: Ask again yes

Author: Mary Beth Keane

Genre: Fiction

My Rating: ⭐ ⭐ ⭐ / 5 ⭐

This is such a long book. It narrates the story of two – generations of two families and the problems between them. The beginning chapters were very boring and it took enormous time and effort to continue further. After finished the quarter of the book, the plot finally made us read further. It seems the author wrote whatever comes to her mind on the moment without any predetermined path for the story. The story roams around every nook and corner of the problems, the characters could find within the story setting. Because of these scattered problems and scenes, none of them felt deep to impact the reader. Can give credit for the chapters discuss the mental illness and make the readers subtly understand its importance. Other than that it’s a very long, slow, tedious book.

Favorite Quote From The Book :

“The thing is, grown-ups don’t know what they’re doing any better than kids do. That’s the truth.”

“We repeat what we don’t repair,”
