Book Title: From Twinkle With Love

Author: Sandhya Menon

Genre: Romance

Publishing Date: 22 May 2018

Line Summary:

(From Goodreads)An aspiring teen filmmaker finds her voice and falls in love, in this delightful romantic comedy.

My Review:

It’s a typical Sandhya Menon book. An ambitious teenage girl who chose a profession which most of the girls didn’t choose, coming from a lower-middle-class Indian family, struggle to belong to any group, fall in love with a rich handsome boy who also reciprocates the love and after typical teenage problems they will unite in the end! Here I told the whole story !! This is my third book from her and this is the same baseline on all 3 stories, yet she made it interesting with her wittiness and a peppy narration! I love the way the heroine portrays in all her stories! They are ambitious, have a passion by heart in rare women fields, and ready to work on that! And I love twinkle here too! She is lovely in all ways! Though I could predict most of the scenes it’s still interesting to read! Lovely young adult romance! If you are into YA romance book you will definitely love this!

Thoughts while reading :

  • I started this book in audio form which was a big mistake! so after half of the book, I started to read. The audiobook is so off-putting, especially I don’t like the male voice in the narration which totally spoiled the story. so I suggest not listening to it rather read it to enjoy!img_6499
  • The narration is so witty. I laughed at places like, where twinkle thought to set a “date on Staples” for her two stationary obsessed friends!img_6500
  • I don’t know what’s with mom characters ?? In all sandhya Menon books, the mom characters were portrayed very poorly I kind of don’t like it.img_6501
  • The lovely “NANA”  character is adorable! The future prediction scene was hilarious.img_6502
  • The hero character is way too matured and lovely. All sandhya Menon stories have diversified characters which I highly appreciate.img_6504
  • As it’s a typical young adult romance fiction we could predict the flow of the story to the point and that makes the book very predictable and I often rolled my eyes. I hope and expect my next read from her may break all these similar storylines & characters!img_6503

  1. No matter how basic the book was, I LOVED it so much!! I Just love having characters that I can relate to in Sandhya Menon’s books, ya know? I also loved the date at Staples part!!! Maddie and Twinkle’s friendship progression throughout the story was awesome!
